Connecting HANA Live to SAC and SAP BusinessObjects (Part 3)

Welcome to Part 3 of the HANA Live Connection Series.

In this article we will walk through creating a HANA Live Direct Connection to SAP Analytics Cloud.

Step 1: Ensure pre-requisites have been met

Ensure that HTTPS (SSL) for Client Application Access has been configured

Ensure HANA Info Access Service (INA) has been configured for the HANA user you will be setting up for the Live HANA Connection.

Ensure that Cross-Origin Resource Sharing (CORS) has been setup on SAP HANA.

Step 2: Go to Connection Setup in SAP Analytics Cloud

1. Log into SAP Analytics Cloud

2. Click on the Menu Selector

3. Select Connection

4. Click on Add Connection

5. Expand Connect to Live Data

6. Select SAP HANA

7. Enter a meaningful name and description for your connection

8. Enter your HANA server hostname and port

9. Enter user credentials and password for the HANA user that has the INA_USER role

10. Click on OK

Your HANA Live Connection is now ready to be consumed by SAP Analytics Cloud
